Frequently asked questions
The twelve questions that come up most often, answered straight, including those whose answer suits nobody.
What exactly does Stellabox sell, and what does it not sell?
Stellabox sells the equipment: CESC Mercury battery storage systems and Sunnic DC fast chargers. It delivers them in the destination country and brings in the factory engineers for commissioning.
It does not manufacture, does not install, does not connect and does not sell maintenance contracts. Installation, civil works, electrical connection and compliance are the responsibility of the installer chosen by the customer.
How do I choose between the Mercury 233, the 261 and the 418?
The choice comes down to two figures: the power your site draws at peak, and how long that peak lasts. The power determines the model, the duration determines the capacity, and therefore the number of cabinets.
Both figures are read off your load curve. If you do not have it, your electricity supplier can provide it.
Do I need a solar installation to install a battery?
No. A battery can be used solely to shave power peaks, to run without the grid or to absorb the demand of a fast charger, with no on-site generation at all.
Where there is solar, the battery additionally shifts generation to the moment the site consumes.
Who commissions the equipment?
The factory engineers of the product delivered. Commissioning and the start-up check are carried out by the same team, not by a local subcontractor.
How does transport work?
Lithium batteries are Class 9 dangerous goods. Their transport is governed by ADR for road, IMDG for sea and IATA for air. The UN 38.3 test report accompanies the goods, and the regulatory marking is applied to every package.
The mode of carriage, the documents and the lead times depend on the destination country.
Do you deliver outside Europe?
The area served covers all of Europe, Switzerland, Monaco, Andorra and North Africa. Every sale is delivered to the customer or to their reseller in the destination country.
An enquiry from outside that area still gets an answer.
How long between order and commissioning?
It depends on the model, the configuration, the destination country and the mode of carriage. It is written in the quote, never announced in advance on a website.
Can you state a gain or a return on investment?
Not on a website. The gain depends on your load curve, on your supply contract and on the peak billing rules in your country, which are not the same everywhere. The calculation is done case by case, with your real data, at quotation stage.
What are the payment terms?
Payment in full before delivery. It is written here rather than discovered at quotation stage.
Do you sell to private individuals?
No. Stellabox sells to businesses.
Do you sell Sunnic chargers on their own, without a battery?
The chargers are sold alongside the batteries. The exact configuration is defined in the quote.
Where do I find the full datasheets?
They are provided with the quote, along with the corresponding certificates. The site shows only what is published by the manufacturer and its distributors, with the source of every line.
Your question is not here? Write it in the form, it goes straight to the salesperson covering your country.
